Safety & Inspection Disclaimer
Last Updated: August 27, 2026Important limits on EquipmentFlow safety records, inspection workflows, approvals, and stored operational information.
1. Administrative Recordkeeping Only
EquipmentFlow provides tools to create, store, route, approve, and report safety and inspection records. EquipmentFlow does not inspect equipment, verify observations, monitor a workplace, certify an inspection, or determine that equipment, a worksite, or a person is safe.
2. No Safety Determination
Completing, approving, or storing an inspection in EquipmentFlow does not mean that equipment is safe, vehicles are roadworthy, maintenance is complete, hazards are eliminated, or applicable regulations have been satisfied. Only qualified personnel with appropriate training, authority, and first-hand knowledge can make those determinations.
3. Customer Duties
Customers remain responsible for inspection schedules, inspection methods, competent inspectors, lockout and control procedures, corrective actions, repairs, return-to-service decisions, workplace supervision, and OSHA, DOT, ANSI, MSHA, environmental, and other legal obligations. Customers must verify records before relying on them and must not operate unsafe equipment.
4. Records and Notifications
An inspection record may reflect only what a user entered at a particular time. Connectivity issues, synchronization delays, user actions, device limitations, or system failures may affect records and audit history. Reminders, emails, push notifications, SMS messages if introduced later, and alerts may be delayed, interrupted, filtered, or fail to deliver. Customers must never rely solely on EquipmentFlow notifications.
5. Related Policies
Fleet-specific workflows are governed by the Fleet Inspection Disclaimer. JSAs are governed by the JSA Disclaimer. Maintenance notices are convenience features governed by the Maintenance Reminder Disclaimer.
